A Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) is a group of licensed family child care providers who work directly with CCRC in the Antelope and San Fernando Valleys.  The Network combines the standards of a first rate child care center with the intimacy of a home environment.  CCRC provides caregivers in the network with ongoing training and support.

FCCHEN facilities offers children:

  • A safe and healthy environment
  • Developmentally appropriate activities
  • Nurturing interactions

Parents are an important part of the FCCHEN networks.  Individual child assessments are shared with the parents who, in turn, help develop a plan to meet their child's needs.  Financial assistance is provided by the California Department of Education (CDE) so that low income families can have the best care for their children while they work or attend school or training.

Child care professionals in the network receive extensive support including:

  • Training with other area child care professionals
  • Monthly Resource Van visits which bring exciting new educational materials to the home at no charge
  • Education in child assessment, planning for each child's needs, and communicating with parents
  • Regular monthly payments on behalf of eligible families enrolled
